The craziness we are experiencing in this world today, expands to all industries and to all professions. It is most definitely trying times, but the ability for anyone and any business to prosper and grow during this is difficult, but we need to be adaptable and be willing to do what is necessary to succeed at all times.
Given the COVID situation we are experiencing, here in Ontario, we are not currently allowed to be within a gym setting. Having said that all the work we are doing with our athletes and clients is being done at public spaces, such as sports fields/open grass areas. With this being allowed under the regulation of the Ontario Government, this has definitely caused our training to adapt and to grow, as well as exploring new training regimes or styles that we may not have had the ability to employ if we were still in a gym setting. In our sessions with limited equipment, we have our clients use a lot of dumbbells, as they are easy to move and transport outside, as well as many band exercises, body weight, plyometrics, isometrics, eccentrics, the list can go on forever. The ability of changing from our norm, or what we are used to is the key take away idea. With this it’s not only expanded our coaching ability but has forced us to be more creative and explore different ideas in which we may not have explored if we were not forced to be outside of a gym setting with limited equipment.
Having said all that, the reason for this blog today is to discuss the idea of being adaptable, being willing to transform your business, and putting yourself in a position for success moving forward. There are no right or wrong answers in today’s society in how to move forward, we just need to make sure we are putting the health and safety of ourselves, our clients, and the general public first in order to be a driving cause of bringing the world to a better position.
In no way are we complaining or upset by this situation, ideally we would love to be in a gym setting, but we take what we can, we work with what we can and we deliver the upmost service to our athletes and clients at all times, always!
What we do today makes our body better for tomorrow.
Until next time,
